Board Member: KARO TOROSSIAN
Merchant Representative

Karo Torossian severs our community as a field representative for Assemblymember Paul Krekorian, representing the Assemblymember in the communities of North Hollywood, Toluca Lake and Valley Glen. Karo has been an advocate for the community for many years. In 2000 he fought for the Environment with Greenpeace at Valley College pushing for Prop A funds to build environmentally friendly buildings, which are now being built. Other issues of most interest to Karo are infrastructure, development, transportation, labor, and the environment.

Karo is born and raised in the San Fernando Valley, and has lived in Valley Glen for over 21 years. He continues to live in Valley Glen with his wife Arsine. Karo has attended K-12 and College in Valley Glen schools of Erwin Elementary, Milliken Middle School, Grant High School and Valley College. At Valley College he represented the student body as the ASU Treasurer. He continued his education at the University of California, Los Angeles received his Bachelors Degree in Political Science and Labor and Workplace Studies. He is now pursuing his Masters Degree from California Polytechnic University, Pomona, in the field of Urban and Regional Planning, with an emphasis on community development and transportation planning and policy
